KDKA-TV: FDA: Certain Stomach Medications May Increase Risk Of Infection

The FDA believes that taking heartburn drugs  like Nexium, Prilosec, Zegerid and Prevacid may increase your risk of developing a stomach infection. Allegheny General gastroenterologist Dr. Abhijit Kulkarni says there is risk, but that many patients benefit greatly from such medicines.
