Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Natrona Heights, Pa., - The AKMC Trust, the philanthropic resource for Allegheny Valley Hospital, will hold its biggest annual fundraising event, the Traditions Gala, on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Pittsburgh Field Club.

The black-tie optional event is themed “Stroll into Spring,” and will feature an array of culinary stations and a variety of entertainment throughout the venue, such as caricaturist, a strolling magician, a local speed artist and music by Dr. Zoot. There will also be a teacup auction and raffle. Bob Pompeani, KDKA sports anchor, will serve as emcee.

“The Traditions Gala is an enjoyable evening of great food and good company that benefits a very worthy cause,” said Ginger Taylor, Chairwoman of the AKMC Trust Board of Trustees. “We are overwhelmed by the support for this event from our hospital family and the community. We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone this weekend.”

Tickets for the Traditions Gala are $175. For more information, please call the AKMC Trust at 724-226-7178.
