Alle-Kiski Medical Center Honors Employees

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Natrona Heights, Pa., - Alle-Kiski Medical Center (AKMC) will honor its employees reaching landmark years of service at its Annual Service Awards Dinner at Futule’s Harmar House on Thursday, April 29, 2010. The event celebrates the hospital’s most important asset, its employees.

“AKMC would not be the hospital it is today without the loyalty and commitment of our employees - many of whom are celebrating over 20 years of service,” said Ned Laubacher, President and Chief Executive Officer. Approximately 23 percent of the employees at AKMC have been with the hospital for 25 years or more.

Over 181 employees will receive recognition at the event along with a gift for their number of years of service. This year, over 91 employees will celebrate over 20 years of service with three employees reaching the 40 year milestone.

Celebrating at this year’s event are 47 employees with five year awards, 23 with 10 years, 20 with 15 years, 29 with 20 years, 24 with 25 years, 24 with 30 years, 11 with 35 years and three celebrating 40 years of service.

AKMC’s commitment to quality and to serving the health care needs of the community has been the driving force of the hospital since it opened its doors in 1909. The employees being honored at this year’s event join the ranks of thousands of employees who have shared the hospital’s caring mission over the past century.
