AKMC Cardiologist Addresses Heart Attacks and Plaque

Natrona Heights, Pa., – The PriorityCare program at Alle-Kiski Medical Center (AKMC) will host John Balacko, MD, for a presentation, “Getting to the Heart of a Plaque Attack” on May 21, 2009 at 6 p.m. in the Charles W. Young Conference Center at the hospital in Harrison.

The build of plaque in the circulatory system plays a major role in heart attacks. Dr. Balacko will discuss the facts about plaque as well as the causes, signs, symptoms and prevention of heart attacks. Heart attack remains the number one cause of death in the USA.

Dr. Balacko, board certified in cardiology, practices with Tri-County Cardiology in Natrona Heights and Lower Burrell.
