AKMC offers Medicare Workshop

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Natrona Heights, Pa., – Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s (AKMC) PriorityCare program has partnered with APPRISE to offer a Medicare workshop to help you understand Medicare. The program is scheduled for May 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Charles W. Young Conference Center at AKMC’s main campus in Natrona Heights.

The information will help you make an informed decision about the best plan for your needs. Join APPRISE supervisor, Bill McKendree as he provides an overview of the Medicare system and benefits along with a review of the options open to you. This is an excellent resource for anyone turning 65, considering changing policies or confused by the choices. Space is limited to allow time for individual questions.

APPRISE is the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) for Pennsylvania’s Medicare beneficiaries. The Pennsylvania Department of Aging created APPRISE to help Pennsylvanians with Medicare understand their health insurance options and help them make sound decisions about what is best for them.

PriorityCare is a free membership program offered by AKMC to all adults age 55 or older. Call 724-226-7339 to register or e-mail: kgiovann@wpahs.org.
