Celebrating the Ultimate Gift of Life -- Through Organ Donation
In celebration of national Donate Life Month, Allegheny General Hospital's Transplant Program brought families of organ donors, living donors and transplant recipients together for a beautiful ceremony recognizing all of those who have bestowed the gift of life to another human being through organ donation. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Treating autism patients in emergencies presents challenges

The bright lights and noise in an emergency department or examination room can disturb and upset a patient with an autism spectrum disorder. Three physicians from Allegheny General Hospital have written an article to help practitioners learn ways to keep an ER encounter as stress free as possible for patients with autism and their caregivers.
