MS is a disease that attacks this protective covering. Without myelin, the brain and spinal cord cannot communicate with the nerves in the rest of the body. MS gradually destroys myelin in patches throughout the body, causing symptoms such as fatigue, difficulty talking, difficulty walking and a great deal of pain. Join Elliot Michel, MD, from Valley Neurology, Inc. in Tarentum for a free lunch-and-learn about Multiple Sclerosis. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered during the time allotted after the lecture for a question & answer session. Call to register at 724-274-5202.
