AKMC Hosts Medicare Health Care Reform Expert

Natrona Heights, Pa., – Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s (AKMC) PriorityCare program has partnered with APPRISE and Family Services of Western Pennsylvania to offer “What’s New in Medicare: Will Health Care Reform Impact You?” The free program is scheduled for August 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Charles W. Young Conference Center at AKMC’s main campus in Natrona Heights. Call 724-226-7339 to register.

The information will help you understand how and if the law will impact you, your coverage, costs and choices. Bill McKendree, an APPRISE team leader from Family Services provides an overview and will be available to answer your questions.

APPRISE is the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) for Pennsylvania’s Medicare beneficiaries. The Pennsylvania Department of Aging created APPRISE to help Pennsylvanians with Medicare understand their health insurance options and help them make sound decisions about what is best for them.

PriorityCare is a free membership program offered by AKMC to all adults age 55 or older.
