Celebrating the Ultimate Gift of Life -- Through Organ Donation
In celebration of national Donate Life Month, Allegheny General Hospital's Transplant Program brought families of organ donors, living donors and transplant recipients together for a beautiful ceremony recognizing all of those who have bestowed the gift of life to another human being through organ donation. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Study: Trauma patients fare better in helicopter than ambulance

Research has shown that patients who have experienced a traumatic injury tend to fare better when they are transported to a trauma center by air, according to Dr. P.S. Martin, medical director of Allegheny General Hospital's LifeFlight service.
