Celebrating the Ultimate Gift of Life -- Through Organ Donation
In celebration of national Donate Life Month, Allegheny General Hospital's Transplant Program brought families of organ donors, living donors and transplant recipients together for a beautiful ceremony recognizing all of those who have bestowed the gift of life to another human being through organ donation. Women who are obese or overweight at the time of diagnosis with the most common form of breast cancer face a higher rate of recurrence and a significantly higher risk of death from the disease.
