AKMC Hosts 'Foot and Ankle Issues as We Age'

Natrona Heights, Pa., – Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s (AKMC) PriorityCare program will host Robert W. Mendicino, DPM for a presentation entitled “Foot and Ankle Issues as We Age” on Wednesday, September 16 at 6 p.m. in the Charles W. Young Conference Center at the hospital in Harrison.

Dr. Mendicino, a board certified podiatrist on staff at Alle-Kiski Medical Center, will discuss the common conditions affecting our feet as we age. His discussion will cover many of the foot problems many of us deal with such as foot pain, painful toenails, painful corns, skin disorders, as well as arthritis and swelling of the ankle and foot. He will review the different types of surgeries to help with these issues and discuss diabetes related, geriatric foot-care.
