AKMC Hosts Shoulder Suffering: Surgical Solutions

Natrona Heights, Pa., – Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s (AKMC) PriorityCare program will host Michael Rytel, MD from Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates for a presentation entitled “Shoulder Suffering: Surgical Solutions” on Tuesday, September 14 at 6 p.m. in the Charles W. Young Conference Center at the hospital in Harrison.

When the shoulder it is not working properly, it can cause a lot of pain, discomfort and difficulty with even the simplest tasks in life. Treatment of shoulder problems may include rehabilitation or surgery. Procedures exist to improve should stability, decrease pain from degenerative tendon tears and improve pain and function for patients with shoulder arthritis. Dr. Rytel is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and specializes in sports medicine and treatment of the shoulders. He is on staff at Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

PriorityCare is a free membership program offered by AKMC to all adults age 55 or older.
