Celebrating the Ultimate Gift of Life -- Through Organ Donation
In celebration of national Donate Life Month, Allegheny General Hospital's Transplant Program brought families of organ donors, living donors and transplant recipients together for a beautiful ceremony recognizing all of those who have bestowed the gift of life to another human being through organ donation. WPXI-TV: Dense Breasts and Cancer Risk

Women with so-called "dense breasts" face a higher risk of breast cancer, and in addition, the dense tissue may make it harder to detect cancer on a mammogram. A proposed law would require doctors in Pennsylvania to tell women if they have dense breasts. Dr. William Poller, Director of Breast Imaging at West Penn Allegheny Health System, talked to WPXI-TV about the issues surrounding dense breasts, and his recommendations on when women might want to consider pursuing additional testing beyond a mammogram.
