Pledge the Gift of Life

Each year, the lives of thousands of people across the country are saved because someone made the choice to become an organ donor. In April, Allegheny Health Network is honored to celebrate National Donate Life Month and pay tribute to all of those who have bestowed the precious gift of life to another through organ donation. AKMC Trust to Hold Wall-Wrecking Reception on October 2

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Natrona Heights, Pa., - Construction has officially begun on Phase 2 of the Emergency Department Renovation and Expansion Project at Alle-Kiski Medical Center (AKMC), and to celebrate, the AKMC Trust is hosting a Wall-Wrecking Reception on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the front circle of the Natrona Heights hospital campus.

Attendees will enjoy a casual autumn evening featuring wine and hors d’oeuvres and the chance to take a swing at one of the walls that will be coming down to make way for the new and improved Emergency Department at AKMC.

“The Wall-Wrecking Reception promises to be a very unique fundraiser,” said Nancy Giuliotti, Executive Director of the AKMC Trust. “Not only is it a great way to celebrate the eagerly-awaited start of Phase 2 of the ED Project, but our guests will have the opportunity to put on hard hats and safety glasses and ‘take a swing for the new wing,’ too!”

Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. Reservations can be made by contacting the AKMC Trust at 724-226-7178. Deadline for reservations is Friday, September 25. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Capital Campaign for Emergency and Urgent Care Services at AKMC.
