Canonsburg General Hospital Welcomes Foot and Ankle Specialist, Dr. Victor Prisk

McMurray, Pa., - Canonsburg Hospital welcomes Dr. Victor Prisk to the Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Institute at its Outpatient Care Center in Peters Township. 
Dr. Prisk, an NCAA All-American gymnast from Iowa State University and Michigan State University, graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. During his fellowship training, Dr. Prisk specialized in dance medicine and sports foot and ankle surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery of Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. Dr. Prisk has worked closely with the NYC Ballet, American Ballet Theater, The Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, and the University of Pittsburgh athletics. 
Dr. Prisk is a frequent guest on both local and national television and radio programs discussing the benefits of sports nutrition and is a member of the GNC Medical Advisory Board. As an orthopaedic surgery resident at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Prisk began body building competitively, ultimately winning the International Federation of Body Building (IFBB) North American Championship in 2009, as well as earning his IFBB pro-card by winning the 2010 National Physique Committee National Championship. 
“We are delighted to have Dr. Prisk join our medical staff,” said Terry Wiltrout, President and CEO of Canonsburg Hospital. “His knowledge, expertise and passion, particularly in regards to sports and dance related injuries, will provide the Canonsburg and Washington County community with outstanding orthopaedic care.”
Board certified in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Prisk continues to research the biology of tissue healing and the role of nutrition in surgical care, furthering his expertise in sports and dance injuries of the foot or ankle, arthroscopy, stem cell treatments, and complex foot and ankle reconstructions.
