Education

The program includes a comprehensive conference schedule. Conferences are held on Mondays (5 to 6 p.m.) from September to May and on Fridays (7 to 8 a.m.) year-round. Conference attendance is mandatory for the vascular attending surgeons, fellows, residents and medical students on the vascular surgery service. The conference schedule is designed to achieve multiple goals:

1. Provide a forum for twice-monthly morbidity and mortality conferences.
    
2. Offer to the fellow a set of lectures that over the course of two years will encompass the full spectrum of vascular surgery.
    
3. Allow open discussion of interesting cases presented by the fellow and other residents on the service.
    
4. Allow residents to review and present upcoming cases, with focus on how each resident would manage the case.
