Here, we have compiled a list of the most common HR questions for you to access either at work or from home.

Passwords

How do I get my password/login reset?

PRISM password - Call the help desk at 412.359.4357.

Performance Management password - Call the help desk at 412.359.4357.

Jobvite password - go to Jobvite and click on the Forgot your password? link.  Remember you must have your email address listed in PRISM first, and then accept your email invitation to join Jobvite.

Retirement Center pin number - Call 1.866.211.6803, select option 3, then option 2, then option 1. Your pin number will be changed for you on the phone.

Pay

How do I view and print my paycheck?

Employees are able to view their pay stubs and accrual balances by using PRISM - Employee Self-Service. PRISM can be accessed from a home computer or a work computer.

To view and print your paycheck:

AT WORK: Log into PRISM via the intranet website: http://home.wpahs.org/prism

AT HOME: Log into PRISM via the internet at http://www.wpahs.org/prism.

Under Employee Self-Service,

  • Click on the "Pay " bookmark (on the left side of the screen).
  • Click on the "Pay Check" bookmark.
  • Click on the "Payment Date" that you want to view.

To print a copy of your pay stub, click "Printable Pay Stub," click the "Print" icon at the top right hand corner of the page.*

By using PRISM, employees do not need to wait until payday to check their earnings or accrual balances. As soon as mid-day on the Wednesday preceding a payday, employees can view this information in PRISM.

NOTE: In some cases the Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker may not allow the printable pay stub to open. If this occurs, it is an easy fix. Click on the printable pay stub link and if the pay stub does not appear, check beneath the address bar of Internet Explorer for a message that indicated that a pop up window was blocked. To allow the pop up, simply place the cursor on the error message, click the right mouse button, and select the option to allow pop ups from this website. The pay stub should now be able to be printed.

How do I change my direct deposit?

Employees have the ability to change their direct deposit information by using PRISM - Employee Self-Service. PRISM can be accessed from a home computer or a work computer. (Note: This option is not available on Tuesdays or Wednesdays due to payroll processing.)

Please note that the first pay period after enrolling or adding a new account in direct deposit, you will receive an actual payroll check due to a pre-notification process. Pre-notification is required to validate that the routing transit and bank account numbers are correct.

To change your direct deposit:

Under Employee Self-Service, click on the "Pay" bookmark (on the left side of the screen)

    • Click on the "Direct Deposit" bookmark and follow the instructions on the screen. There is also a help menu on the "Direct Deposit" screen. Changes made on this screen may or may not be reflected on your next paycheck, depending on your payroll cutoff. The number of direct deposit accounts you may have active at one time is stated on the top of the screen. If you reach the maximum, you must close an account before opening another one. If you enroll in direct deposit, you must deposit all of your net pay. You cannot deposit a portion of your check and receive the remainder in a paycheck.

How do I change my deductions on my W-4?

Employees have the ability to change their tax withholding information by using PRISM Employee Self-Service. PRISM can be accessed from a home computer or a work computer. (Note: This option is not available on Tuesdays or Wednesdays due to payroll processing.)

Time Off Balances (Vacation, Sick, Holiday and Personal Time)

Where can I find policy information about vacation, sick, holiday and personal time?

Human Resource policies can be found on the WPAHS intranet site homepage at http://home.wpahs.org

  • Click on your organization's intranet site.
  • Click on Human Resources.
  • Click on Policy Manual.

How can I see how much time is in my vacation, sick, holiday and personal banks?

Employees are able to view their accrued time off balances by using PRISM Employee Self-Service. PRISM can be accessed from a home computer or a work computer.

To view and print your time off benefit balances:

AT WORK: Log into PRISM via the intranet website: http://home.wpahs.org/prism

AT HOME: Log into PRISM via the internet at http://www.wpahs.org/prism.

Under Employee Self-Service

  • Click on the "Pay" bookmark (on the left side of the screen).
  • Click on the "Pay Check" bookmark.
  • Click on the "Payment Date" that you want to view.

Accrual balances are located under the Summary portion of the page (about half way down the left of the screen); click on the underlined words "Current Accrual Balance." A printable view of the current accrual balances will appear.

ID Badge

How do I get a new ID badge?

Human Resources will replace an ID badge at no cost if it no longer works or requires a change in title or name.

Employees that have lost their ID badge should go to their organization's Cashier Office, pay a $5.00 replacement fee and bring the receipt to Human Resources to receive a new badge.

My Personal Information

How do I change my address?

Employees are able to change their address and phone number by using PRISM Employee Self-Service. PRISM can be accessed from a home computer or a work computer. (Note: This option is not available Tuesdays or Wednesdays due to payroll processing.)

Under Employee Self-Service,

  • Click on the "Personal Information" bookmark (on the left side of the screen).
  • Click on the "Address Phone Change" bookmark and update the information on the screen.

How do I change my name?

Your manager must submit all name changes on an employee profile form. You will need to show your manager the appropriate documentation of the change (e.g. marriage license, etc.). Be sure to report to your organization's Human Resources to obtain a new badge.

Performance Evaluation

Where do I find information about my performance expectations?

The health system uses SuccessFactors as our Performance Management system. This is an interactive web-based tool that makes it easy to review your job performance. You can access this new tool through PRISM Self-Service.

The Performance Management Quick Guide will help lead you through the process including self-evaluation, along with frequently asked questions.

Where can I get information about my health and welfare benefits?

Employees have the ability to access Employee Benefit Information by using PRISM Employee Self-Service.

Where can I get information about employee discount programs?

WPAHS is a member of the Pittsburgh Employees Activities Association (PEAA).

The PEAA has been in existence for over 30 years and its main goal is to offer discounts to members at a savings. Programs also include special travel plans and social events in and around the city.
