AGH To Host Women’s Health Day
May 22, 2009Heart disease kills almost twice as many women each year as all forms of cancer combined. On June 6, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, the Women’s Heart Center at Allegheny General Hospital, located on McKnight Road, will host an informative program to educate women about their risks for cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Heart disease risk assessments and other cardiovascular health screenings will be offered to participants of the program and Jennifer Antkowiak, former KDKA television news anchor and current host of “Jennifer” on WTAE-TV, will deliver the keynote address.
