Suburban General Hospital's Emergency Department provides state-of-the-art
emergency care for all patients with life-threatening injury or illness.
Completely renovated in recent years, the Emergency Department
facilities include 13 patient rooms that surround a centrally located
nursing station, a translucent exterior skylight canopy covering three
separate entrances for walk-in patients and ambulances, and a modern
x-ray suite dedicated to use of the Emergency Department. These
improvements are only a few that have assisted Suburban General
Hospital in its mission to provide excellent service to our
neighboring communities and their residents.
The Emergency Department's medical team of emergency physicians,
nurses, patient care technicians, and clerical staff are well trained
and readily able to diagnose and treat a myriad of disorders, from
seemingly minor emergencies to the most life-threatening conditions
such as stroke or heart attack. As a team, they respond
around-the-clock to more than 1,500 emergency cases a month.
