Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

Allegheny General Hospital’s – Suburban Campus outpatient rehabilitation program specializes in the treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal disorders, including pre- and postoperative care programs. The mission is to facilitate the return of patients to their highest level of function following a disabling injury or condition as quickly and safely as possible.

Our licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists have over 80 years of combined experience in neuromuscular disorders, including the treatment of cerebrovascular accidents/stroke, multiple sclerosis and head injury patients.

Our physical therapist has over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic and sports related injuries, including shoulder rehabilitation, fractures, dislocations and joint instability.

We offer the following services:

Vestibular rehabilitation/balance
Prosthetic evaluation and training
Splinting
Therapeutic exercise
Training in Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
Pain and edema management
Patient/Family education and support
Speech and Language therapy
Swallowing evaluation and treatment
Modified Barium Swallows

Pediatrics
Manual therapy
Electrotherapeutic and thermal modalities
Gait, balance and mobility training
Range of motion and flexibility
