Burn Center

West Penn Burn Center brings together board-certified physician specialists, nurses certified in advanced burn care areas, nutritionists, physical therapists, psychologists and any other specialists needed to provide comprehensive care for the more than 500 patients treated at West Penn Burn Center every year. 

Every member of our West Penn Burn Center team shares the Center’s determination to provide patient-focused care that is of the highest quality.  We share this vision and reach for these goals:

• to be the region’s preeminent facility for the care of both adult and pediatric patients who sustain burn injuries
• to provide state-of-the-art clinical capabilities for the treatment of burn injuries
• to initiate research efforts that significantly improve the outcome of burn treatment
• to support comprehensive burn prevention programs
• to serve as the preferred site for graduate medical and surgical education for the management of both adult and pediatric burns
