Burn Center

West Penn Burn Center's Outpatient Burn Clinic, located adjacent to the inpatient Burn Unit, provides care Monday to Friday during business hours. Services include the following:

• Follow-up medical care and nonurgent medical questions
• Physical therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Nutrition services
• Social services
• Compression management garments

Appointments and Questions

Please call 412.578.5120 during normal business hours for an outpatient appointment or with nonurgent medical questions.  One of the physicians will be glad to discuss care issues or concerns with patients or their family members.

If a patient or family member needs to speak to one of the physicians after hours, call 412.578.5120 and tell the person answering the phone that the matter is urgent.

In an emergency, call 9-1-1.

Directions and Parking

West Penn Burn Center is on the second floor of the North Tower of The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, near the inpatient Burn Unit, in suite N2307.

To reach the Outpatient Burn Center, follow directions to The Western Pennsylvania Hospital's spacious, well-lighted Parking Complex on the corner of Liberty and South Millvale avenues. The Parking Complex is open 24 hours a day and is patrolled by the Hospital's Security Department.

From the Parking Complex, take the enclosed pedestrian walkway, called the Skywalk, from the top floor of the Parking Complex to the second floor of Mellon Pavilion. You may ask for directions or information at the Information Desk at the Skywalk, or follow signs and the blue "N" arrows on the carpet to the "North Tower" of West Penn Hospital. The Outpatient Burn Clinic is in suite N2307.
