Neurological Cancer
Our neuro-oncology (brain cancer) programs offer some of the most advanced, fully integrated services including surgical and non-invasive procedures for the treatment of brain tumors, as well as multi-modal approaches for particularly complex cases. Among the hallmarks of the programs are video-assisted minimally invasive surgery and computer-targeted radiation therapy.
Coordinated care is provided by a dedicated team of a board-certified neuro-oncologists, neuro-surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists. The team provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of newly diagnosed and recurrent primary or metastatic neurological tumors. Long-term neurological followup of neurological cancer survivors is coordinated and managed.
The neuro-oncology team extends the strength of its collaborative treatment approach into the arena of research by devising and making available clinical protocols that unify the expertise of specialists in many disciplines – reaching beyond accepted techniques into sophisticated, more effective treatment strategies.
