Cardiovascular Operating Rooms

Each area of the Ed Dardanell Heart and Vascular Center features the latest, technologically advanced equipment. Within the cardiovascular operating rooms, the surgical team has diagnostic information and test results electronically available at their fingertips. The Ed Dardanell Heart and Vascular Center has the capabilities to perform comprehensive and complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.

Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit

When it comes to treating cardiovascular diseases, time and accessibility are critical in an emergency. With The Ed Dardanell Heart and Vascular Center at Forbes, patients no longer have to drive into the city for their heart-care needs. State-of-the-art care is provided by a highly specialized medical team, all just a heartbeat away. The Center's treatment model is a one-stop approach. After surgery, patients are admitted to the dedicated eight-bed cardiothoracic intensive care unit, located adjacent to the operating and cardiac procedure areas. Here, they receive their entire post operative care in a specially designed private room throughout their recovery. This universal bed model leads to improved clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. There is no transition to a different floor and different staff, which helps assure continuity of care.

Cardiac Catheterization Lab

The Ed Dardanell Heart and Vascular Center offers all of the benefits of a larger medical facility right here in the suburbs. This includes board-certified cardiologists, advanced technology, an experienced staff and clinical nurse specialists who coordinate the patient's care from admission to discharge. Within the Cath Lab, we are able to treat complex cardiac and peripheral vascular diseases, including circulation problems and opening blocked arteries that can cause high blood pressure and possibly stroke.
