- Ischemic Stroke Therapy with Intra-arterial Thrombolytics and Thrombectomy Devices
- Cerebral Aneurysm Therapy with Endovascular Coiling
- Arteriovenous Malformation Embolization
- Intracranial Angioplasty and Vasospasm Therapy
- Traumatic Carotid and Vertebral Artery Injury Therapy
- Vascular Tumors of the Head, Neck, and Brain
- Dural Arteriovenous Malformations and Fistulas
- Venous Sinus Thrombosis, Stenosis, and Occlusion

- Venous and Lymphatic Malformations
- Spinal Compression Fractures
- Spinal Vascular Malformations
- Epistaxis (Nosebleeding) Refractory to Conventional Management
Our NeuroInterventionalists are both board certified and have Certificates of Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology. They are also fellowship trained in Interventional Neuroradiology/Endovascular Neurosurgery and have over 20 years experience.
We have access to the latest technologies used in acute interventional stroke treatment including specialized catheter based mechanical devices such as the MERCI device and the K-Mini Version of the device available at only 9 stroke centers in the United States. Humanitarian Exemption devices for aneurysm treatment include the Neuroform Stent used in stent assisted cerebral aneurysm therapy and the Wingspan Intracranial Stent for treatment of intracranial vascular stenosis. Our center has performed liquid embolic therapy of cerebral vascular malformations for over 12 years with the longest experience in the Western Pennsylvania Region. Liquid agents include Onyx, n-BCA glue, and ethanol sclerotherapy for tumor/vessel ablation.
