Prostate Cancer

The Allegheny Prostate center opened in April of 1996 dedicated to the idea that men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer need access to high quality, thorough and unbiased information and counseling about the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. These patients should also have access to "state of the art" and skillfully delivered treatment options. We aim to achieve these goals by using a "multidisciplinary approach" to the treatment of prostate cancer whereby a team of doctors and paraprofessionals, from multiple specialties, all with extensive experience in the treatment of prostate cancer, collaborate on a continuous basis to provide up-to-date treatment strategies for men facing this diagnosis. At the Allegheny Prostate Center, we do not have a single favored treatment approach but rather look at all of the currently available major treatment options as they pertain to each patient's individual circumstances.
