Information for Patients
This month marks the national observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, which began in 1949 to raise awareness of mental health conditions and treatments. Today, most people who have mental health concerns will talk to their family doctor or general practitioner, who in turn will refer them to a mental health professional if the criteria for a diagnosis is met.
If you or someone you know could benefit from mental health services, please contact the Department of Psychiatry at 412.330.4000. All calls are confidential.
