Our clinical staff boasts several prominent child, adolescent and adult psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, registered nurses, and certified registered nurse practitioners who work together via a multi-disciplinary approach in assisting the patient with programmatic goals. These clinicians are also invested in pursuing objectives in clinical services, education and research to ensure the long-term viability of the Department of Psychiatry. In addition, they are dedicated to improving the needs of area communities through involvement in community outreach projects and initiatives.
Complementing the department is our research component, whereby there are currently several federally funded research projects being conducted. And last, but not least, training future mental health professionals is conducted through the department’s Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program and Psychology Internship Program, both of which undergo annual rigorous recruitment procedures to attract and attain the highest level of quality applicants.
