At West Penn Allegheny Health System, we understand that having a non-healing wound is often painful, embarrassing, costly and can limit a person's ability to function to their full potential.

Wound healing is often impacted by other health problems like diabetes, heart disease, immune disorders, and breathing difficulties. Certain medications can also delay the body's ability to heal.

West Penn Allegheny Health System offers two locations to assist those dealing wtih non-healing wounds - the Wound Healing and Lymphedema Center at Allegheny General Hospital and the Advanced Wound Healing Center at Forbes Regional Hospital. Our main goal is to create an individual holistic plan of care in partnership with the patient, and when possible their caregivers, to help facilitate the wound healing process.
