CCAC Paramedic Training Program Graduation October 17, 2009
Class of 2009 Community College of Allegheny County in conjunction with the Simulation, Teaching and Academic, Research (STAR) Center of the West Penn Allegheny Health System has graduated their first Paramedic Training Program. The class of 2009 graduated 19 students who completed a ten month training program which consisted of 664 theory hours and 500 plus clinical hours. These graduates were the first class to receive hands on simulation training at the STAR Center. This program was developed under the leadership of Jill Oblak, Director and Anthony Cuda, Program Coordinator of CCAC Public Safety Institute in collaboration with Donamarie N- Wilfong DNP, R.N., Clinical Director and Gary Harvat, EMS Coordinator at the STAR Center. Congratulations to the Class of 2009 and thank you for making a difference in the lives of the community you serve.
