The Forbes Health Foundation is the philanthropic resource for Forbes Regional Hospital and Forbes Hospice, members of the West Penn Allegheny Health System. Established in 1997, Forbes Health Foundation operates exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. All corporate powers of the foundation are vested in and are exercised by a board of directors that controls and manages the foundations affairs and funds.

Our Mission

The Forbes Health Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to advance quality health care at Forbes Regional Hospital and Forbes Hospice.

Since 1978, Forbes Regional Hospital has been providing quality care for the communities of eastern Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. As the area has grown, so has Forbes. A 350-bed facility with 15,000 inpatient admissions 12,000 surgeries, and nearly 50,000 emergency department visits annually, we bring an advanced level of care to our patients.

We believe that patients experience the best possible care when they are able to have all of their needs met in one place – in their own community. That is why Forbes Regional Hospital has expanded to offer the latest medical innovations and procedures.
