Forbes Regional Hospital Celebrates Doctor's Day
The Forbes Health Foundation showed their appreciation for the physicians on staff at Forbes Regional Hospital with two events dedicated especially to them.
Physicians celebrated by attending a breakfast that include Forbes’ own Chef Greg Fried’s famous made-to-order omelets or enjoyed cake at the dessert reception held in the afternoon. Each physician received a red carnation boutonniere/corsage, which is the official flower of Doctors Day. This day of recognition gives us an opportunity to thank the physicians for everything they do for their patients.
Golfers and Sponsors Support WPAHS Golf Outing
This year’s WPAHS golf outing, held on May 23 at the Pittsburgh Field Club, raised more than $126,000 for the patients of West Penn, Allegheny General, Allegheny Valley and Forbes Regional hospitals.
There were two great ways to enjoy this year’s outing.
The morning outing featured the 2011 Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championships to benefit West Penn Allegheny Health System. Each player in the morning session received an exclusive Nike golf tee gift package and a Mercedes-Benz test drive offer.
The winning two-person team of the morning session will play in the Mercedes-Benz Western Sectional Tournament in Scottsdale, AZ, in November.
The afternoon session of the WPAHS Golf Classic was the annual scramble with 137 golfers taking to the course to enjoy the game and some friendly competition.

The Presidents’ Circle
Corporate presidents and executives who individually or through their corporation contribute $25,000 total or a minimum $5,000 annually to the Foundation’s Capital Campaign in support of quality health care at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital - Forbes Regional Campus are members of this Circle. Many have contributed considerably more.
