Practice philosophy
Allegheny Perinatal Associates combines the latest technology in high-risk obstetrical services with personalized care to help ensure the confidence of both the expectant mother and her family. We provide a unified, interdisciplinary approach to high-risk obstetrics. Full-service, advanced facilities for both the mother and the baby are located under the same roof saving precious time in situations where every moment is critical. We provide personal attention and maximize continuity of care. Overall, we take a flexible, comprehensive and personalized approach to high-risk care. We realize that pregnancy is suppose to be a natural and wonderful time in a woman’s life as well as her family’s. When a complication or high-risk condition occurs, we understand the increased anxiety and concern that it causes and we work very hard with you and your family to support you and provide you and your baby with the best care possible. The perinatologist is available 24 hours a day/seven days a week.
Services Offered
The following perinatal services are provided
- Consultations or complete management of a pregnancy complicated by maternal disease such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiac disease and renal disease
- Consultations or complete management regarding previous pregnancy issues, including repeated losses, preterm delivery, severe intrauterine growth restriction and pre-eclampsia
- Consultation or complete management regarding abnormal fetal conditions
- Performance of amniocentesis (genetic and for lung maturity) and in managing isoimmunization
- Advice regarding the timing and method of delivery

Insurance information
The OB/GYN Ambulatory Unit is a provider for Adagio Health services and accepts most Medical Assistance health insurance plans such as Access, Gateway Health Plan, Three Rivers Health Plan/Unison. Our staff can assist you with any insurance or billing concerns. If yuo do not have health insurance, we will gladly work with you to arrange a reasonable payment schedule.
