 VolunteersThere are a host of volunteer opportunities at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Volunteers contribute time in more than 90 departments throughout the hospital. Some positions are patient-related, while other positions have no patient contact. Regardless of the volunteer position, all volunteers enhance the performance of the staff at West Penn and are valued members of our team. A Rewarding ExperienceAll prospective volunteers are interviewed to match their interests and talents with available volunteer positions at West Penn Hospital. Volunteers are expected to serve a minimum of four hours one day per week. In return, they receive complimentary parking and lunch or dinner on the days they serve - not to mention the opportunity to make new friends and the satisfaction that comes from helping to make hospital stays more pleasant for patients and their families.
