is an important part of
medical education. The development of new and better ways
to advance the health of our community is research’s
ultimate goal.
Research is an important part of medical education. The Western Pennsylvania Hospital Foundation
supports the
Hospital’s research initiatives in a number of ways, including:
- Resident
Research Day Awards
- Seed Grant funding
- Biostatistician services
- Financial support
for the Internal Medicine Residency Research Program
- Support for the research building
- Grants Administration
- Funding four staff positions, including
the Internal Review Board (IRB) coordinator
A number of the Hospital’s physicians are also involved
in research that is at the forefront of the latest medical and
surgical developments. Support of the Hospital’s many research
initiatives is truly an investment in the health of future generations.
